Morris Garages, which is owned by JSW Group and SAIC Motor in India, has a range of cars in its lineup, ranging from EVs to SUVs. MG cars under Rs. 10 lakh

Cars under Rs. 10 lakh bracket, MG offers two cars – the Comet EV and the Astor. While the Comet is a hatchback electric vehicle, the Astor is a petrol-run SUV with 2 engines available.

• MG Comet EV

The Comet is the brand’s smallest car on offer which happens to be an electric car. Power and torque figures from the electric motor stand at 42 horsepower and 110 Nm. You can expect a range of up to 230 km from the MG Comet EV. Further, there are five variants of the hatchback on offer, with the base Executive trim starting at a price tag of Rs. 6.99 lakh, followed by Excite (Rs. 7.98 lakh), Excite FC (Rs. 8.34 lakh), Exclusive (Rs. 8.88 lakh) and Exclusive FC (Rs. 9.24 lakh).

• MG Astor

MG’s Astor is a petrol car that comes with two engine options to choose from, a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated mill. The former makes 138 hp and 220 Nm, while 110 hp and 144 Nm are figures of the latter. Mileage from these two lies in the range of 14.34 kmpl to 15.43 kmpl. With 11 variants to select from, the MG Astor Sprint starts at Rs. 9.98 lakh. Its range-topping Savvy Pro Sangria Turbo AT model comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 17.90 lakh.

MG cars under Rs. 20 lakh

Cars under Rs. 20 lakh and below price bracket, there are two SUVs sold by MG – the S EV and the Hector. Here as well the the former is an EV while the latter can be bought with either a diesel or petrol engine.

• MG Hector

The MG Hector is another five-seater SUV from MG’s stable that comes with two engines, a 1.5-litre petrol (141 bhp, 250 Nm) and a 2-litre diesel (167.67 bhp, 350 Nm), both of which are turbocharged. Hector petrol and diesel cars have a mileage of up to 13.79 kmpl and 15.58 kmpl, respectively. Style and Shine trims cost Rs. 13.99 lakh and Rs. 16 lakh ex-showroom. There’s also a special Black storm diesel edition on offer at a price of Rs. 21.95 lakh. For the same price, you can also buy the Savvy Pro petrol mated to a CVT gearbox.

• MG ZS EV

Its biggest EV offering in the country, the MG ZS EV is the electrified version of the Astor SUV. Featuring a 50.3kWh battery pack producing 174.33 bhp and 280 Nm, the electric car boasts an impressive range of 461 kilometres on a single charge. Level 2 ADAS is also offered as a part of MG’s safety suite on the ZS EV. To note, it takes 8.5 seconds to complete a 0-100 kmph sprint. Of the six variants on offer, the base model starts at Rs. 18.98 lakh, while the best-selling Essence trim comes at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 24.98 lakh.
